{"id":148,"date":"2019-12-09T08:04:21","date_gmt":"2019-12-09T13:04:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wbuarchived.mydev.ca\/?page_id=148"},"modified":"2020-10-14T16:22:04","modified_gmt":"2020-10-14T21:22:04","slug":"membership-information","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/wbuarchived.mydev.ca\/?page_id=148","title":{"rendered":"Membership Categories"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<p class=\"xmsonormal\"><span lang=\"EN-CA\">The WBU has four membership categories: <strong>National<\/strong>, <strong>International<\/strong>, <strong>Associat<\/strong><strong>e<\/strong> and <strong>Honorary<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"xmsonormal\"><span lang=\"EN-CA\">There are four membership fee categories for our national members, which are based on the country\u2019s socio-economic status.\u00a0The annual fees per delegate range from approximately $28 in the lowest income level countries to $2,300 per delegate in high income level countries, and for international members.\u00a0Low and high income level countries fees also apply for Associate members\u00a0<\/span>\u2013\u00a0approximately $100 for low income level and about $500 for high income level.\u00a0Fees are adjusted with a cost of living increase annually. National and international members are full voting members of the WBU so long as their fees are paid. Associate members are not voting members; however, they are active participants of WBU activities.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>National Members<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p class=\"xmsonormal\">National members are countries which organizations of and for the blind that are active at a national level in their country. The number of delegates is determined by that country\u2019s population and range from two delegates for countries with a population of 20 million or less up to 10 delegates for countries with populations over 250 million.
